新しい校章

創立30周年という節目の時に校章デザインをすることができ、うれしく思います。

この校章デザインは補習校のみんながイギリスと日本の良さを持って、世界中に飛び立ち活躍することを願って、翼をメインに考えました。皆さんが投票してくれた最初のデザインに、さらにダービーと日本の要素を描き加えました。中央の緑はダービーシャーの豊かな自然を、上の方にある羊はダービーの象徴として描きました。桜の花びらを散りばめ、日本を表現しました。

世界では困難な時が続いていますが、ダービーシャー補習校で学んだ今この時を忘れず、私たち一人一人が将来にはばたいていけることを願っています。（高等部１年　S S）

I am grateful for this opportunity to design the new school emblem for the 30^th anniversary of this school.

I hope that the people of this school will spread their wings and succeed in this world, which was my inspiration for the wings used in the emblem.

I have drawn the green in the middle to represent Derby’s rich natural landscape, the ram at the top to signify Derby’s traditional symbol. Also, I have tried to capture the essence of Japan by adding Japanese Sakura petals to the emblem.

In these confusing times, I hope that we will not forget the time we spend here at Derbyshire Japanese school as we all begin our individual journeys.　(S S, High School Year １)
